Bantams Use Suffocating Defense To Shut Bobcats Down

In their 132nd season opener, the Bantams rolled to a hard fought 17-7 victory over the Bates College Bobcats. The Bantams, coming off a 6-2 campaign in 2007, were looking to continue their strong NESCAC play while Bates, coming off a meager 1-7 season, was looking to shock the Bantams and become this week's Cinderella.

Women's Cross Country Places 10th

Undoubtedly one of the youngest squads in the region, the women's cross country team competed for the second time this past weekend at UMass Dartmouth. Only three upper classman are on the roster this year and well over half of the team is made up of freshman.

Field Hockey Holds on for Win Against Colby

The Trinity College field hockey team stayed perfect this past Saturday with a second half comeback against the Colby College Mules. The Bantams struggled in their NESCAC opener, with Colby scoring early in the first half. Colby freshman Heather Quadir tipped in a shot by junior Jevan Jammal from the right of Trinity's net to put the Mules up 1-0.
