Walking home one night a few weeks ago, I looked up to the sky and realized that I could see stars. A rather unusual sight in New York, I exclaimed to my friend, "They have stars here!" Despite having made a fool of myself, this was one more thing that has made this summer one of my greatest.

The summer heat is here, however there is a tasty dessert to keep your taste buds cool. Elonda "Dai" Womble is a senior physical therapy major from Sanford, N.C. who takes much pride in fixing home cooked meals and desserts for her friends. Since the age of seven, Womble has been honing her skills in the kitchen.
